How to deal with persistent spam comments

If you have a Blog as part of your self employment work from home opportunity then spammers may be a problem. Here’s the serious step I have taken.

I have found that for some reason I have become subject to serious spamming from two countries Russia and the Ukraine. These spammers are extremely persistent. Once they get you site they cling to it like a limpet.

So today I have taken a step I never thought I would do. I have blocked IP addresses from commenting on my site permanently. Then I will see if the level of spamming drops.

It is a shame I have been forced into this position however the situation was so serious I had to take this step to prevent the persistent spamming of my Blog by these individuals.

    Hi Andrew,

    We cannot deny the fact that in this kind of work we can’t get rid of spammers. However the last say is yours as to whether you approve it or not.

    With regard to the persistent spammer it’s your right to do what is proper to them. I think your policy is not too long to read and too difficult to understand.

    I hope you’ll be considerate also to those who are pure in their intentions. Thanks.
